The Process

Whether you order over the internet, attend one of our events or have a one to one service, the process is the same. 

Choose from handprint and footprint jewellery or pet print jewellery and then what you would like eg. Necklace, bracelets, charms etc. 

How Do I take my loved one's hand and footprints?

As soon as an order is placed, Silverhaven Jewellery will send out the non-toxic inkless kit with full instructions within 24hours to take the hand and footprints. 

Inkless Kits are sent out by An Post postal service, and are despatched the same-day if the order is placed before 1:00pm, Monday - Friday.  Orders received after 1:00pm or at the weekend will be dispatched 'next-working-day'.

You can return your prints to us by emailling the scanned prints to us at mail@silverhavenjewellery.com.   If you live locally to us, we're based in Cork another option is to call to us and we can take the prints for you.

How Long Will My Order Take?

We like to allow 10 working days, but as soon as you return the completed prints we will commence on your order.  Allow up to 10 working days from receipt of prints to receive your completed order.  However, if there is a deadline to be met, make this request when ordering and we will do our best to accommodate urgent orders.  Please allow additional time at the busiest times of year like Christmas, Valentine's Day etc.,

How Do I Take My Pet's Paw Print?

This is done the same way as the children and adults prints.  We will send out the necessary materials.  

You can send the prints back to us....

a) pop it in the post - Silverhaven Jewellery, 2 Ardnalee, Lower Road, Crosshaven, Co. Cork P43NY26

b) if you have access to a computer and scanner, then scan it and email it across to us - mail@silverhavenjewellery.com

If you live locally to us, we're based in Crosshaven Cork another option is to call to us and we can take the print for you.

Will my jewellery come in a box ready for gift wrap?

Yes! All our silver hand/foot/paw jewellery comes in a gift box - ready for giving.

Can you make charms from prints already on paper?

Yes we can.  Sadly when our loved one has passed, some hospital staff often take their hand and foot prints as a keepsake. Undertakers are also willing to assist where necessary.  If you wish us to send you a urgent print kit, please contact us at mail@silverhavenjewellery.com or 021 206 3292.  The prints can be turned into keepsake charms for mum and dad, when they feel ready to commemorate their precious loved one and create a lasting memento.

Can I make payments on-line?

Yes you can. We now have the facility for you to choose to make payments using your credit card or Paypal.  You also have the option to ring us securely credit card details to commence with your order.

How can I get our prints to you?

There are several ways you can do this, either

Is my jewellery sterling silver?

Your jewellery is 92.5% sterling silver.  All the attachments, example chains, charm carriers or jump rings are 92.5% sterling silver.

Will my jewellery mark or dent?

Sterling silver will wear if it is worn everyday, on a charm bracelet with lots of charms or on a key ring, it will mark over time.

Regular polishing with a silver cloth will help to keep it looking new.

Are all the Accessories silver?

All accessories are 92.5% silver (sterling silver)

Are you able to take any bespoke jewellery orders?

We are always open to ideas and suggestions and even try to design pieces of jewellery. We will let you know whether what you would like or suggest is possible to do. If we don't feel that we can provide you with a beautiful bespoke piece of jewellery then we will be honest with you and decline the opportunity.

How do I look after my jewellery?

Silver tarnishes naturally, the tarnish is caused by many everyday items. Good practice would be to remove jewellery before bathing and particularly swimming; chlorine will cause tarnishing. Regular cleaning with a standard silver cloth (available from us) will keep your piece in tip top condition.
